For the last 2 weeks I have been trying out a brand-new 3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Mac Pro, and I have no complaints at all about noise. It's VERY quiet! So far, it has performed very well. One thing I can complain about is the quality of its built-in speakers - but then, that can be fixed with external speakers. Pat Big, powerful Macs don’t have to be noisy.
